Inverawe's Mangalistas

Robert, founder of Inverawe, has raised seven rare Mangalitsa pigs—a Hungarian heritage breed often called the ‘Kobe beef of pork.’ From this exceptional stock, only four pigs are available for meat, released in two exclusive, limited batches. Our prime Highland Venison comes from private estates where the deer roam wild on the hill. Very low in cholesterol, extremely lean, sublime in flavour and texture, this is a truly wonderful meat. It is versatile in the kitchen and benefits being cooked rare in the case of the fillets and pavé steaks, medium for haunches and slowly and gently for the diced.
