Smoked Eel Salad

A smashing and dramatic way to enjoy this wonderful, meaty fish.

Eel is not oily or slimy it has a firm texture and a creamy, rich flavour, reminicent of roasted seabass.


  • 1 small cooked beetroot
  • 1 segmented orange
  • 2 thinly sliced radishes
  • 1 chopped spring onion
  • 100g Inverawe Smoked Eel Fillets

Inverawe Dressing

  • Whisk together 2tbs Olive Oil
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • half tsp Dijon Mustard
  • pinch of salt and pepper


  1. Toss all the ingredients and the Eel in the Inverawe Dressing

To Serve

Serve with crusty, warm bread and a sharp white wine to help bring out the wonderful flavour of the Eel
